I purchased the Nanuk 945 EMS Case hoping it would provide the rugged reliability and smart design needed for emergency medical situations, but it has proven to be a disappointment.
The overall build quality doesn’t inspire confidence. The plastic feels less robust than expected for a case designed to protect critical medical equipment. The latches, while secure-looking, are stiff and difficult to operate quickly—an issue when seconds matter in an emergency.
Internally, the case lacks thoughtful organization. The compartments and foam inserts feel generic and don’t cater well to the specific needs of EMS professionals. Essential tools and supplies don’t fit snugly, leading to shifting during transport, which could compromise delicate instruments.
Despite being advertised as waterproof, the case struggled to stay sealed during basic water exposure tests. This is unacceptable for a product intended for use in unpredictable and potentially harsh environments.
Considering the price and its intended purpose, the Nanuk 945 EMS Case is a letdown. This is an excellent case for a shotgun. I was hoping to be able to accommodate two guns. It’s possible but a little tight. Case could be a couple of inches wider to properly allow for two guns and sufficient foam around each gun. Still very happy with purchase.
I bought this as i was sick and tired of my traditional barrister case breaking. Wheels, handles always break with heavy use on the traditonal bag.
This case is basically mil-spec and likely bomb proof. The wheels are big and work well on real streets. The handle is at least three times as wide (stronger) than the old case.
Bottom line. I love this.
I plan of using this case to replace my defective Givi tank-bag on my motorcycle. I have been using Nanuk 920 as saddle-bag on my bike for 10 years now, and they have survived 70,000km of rough terrain in Alaska, Yukon, and Labrador, including a few crashes. I expect this little one to give the same king of performance as it is build with the same quality. I have now many Nanuk cases for my laptop and other fragile gear, and none have failed. Great cases!

It was just a bit too short for my Lockhart Tactical Raven 9 Modular Semi-automatic Rifle, so I had to improvise by reshaping the foam inside.
Not the look I was looking for, but it's always locked, and it still provides enough protection.

The case itself is great, but you'll need to purchase dehumidifier packs that fit the case unless you want watches destroyed due to humidity.
